Chrysanthemum lace

Chrysanthemum lace is a braid lace it uses the divided braid and pivoting techniques used in Brugge flower combined with a decorate braid. The braids are either half stitch, cloth stitch or the fishes braid, nothing else.

The pattern for this bookmark is in  CHRYSANTHEMUM LACE by Cathleen Belleville.  This book is back in print but the only place I can find it is via Amazon in the USA, this is edition 4 which has been printed by the Lace Museum in Sunnyvale, their website also links to Amazon to purchase the book.  This link will take you to the page on Amazon.com

The first two patterns for the lace are from KLEINE SCHUCKSUCKE IN CHRYSANTHE-TECHNIK by Hildegard Glos.  The heart is adapted from a pattern in the same book.  The books Publisher is Barbara Fay Verlag and is available direct from Barbara Fay’s website if you are unable to purchase from local lace suppliers.

If you are interested in Chrysanthemum lace it is one of the laces I teach, more detail under Courses I run in the main menu above
